This session will be led by Warde Advogados and focus on:

Adriano Ribeiro is General Counsel with a targeted emphasis on Litigation. He has a Masters Degree in Business Law and joined JBS in 2017. His practice areas include Arbitration, Mediation and Litigation.
In addition, he has expertise in the development of solid hiring practices, and the formation of personnel policy and procedures. Mr. Ribeiro has also served as a trusted advisor to company executives and acted as Legal Officer of the OAS Group, working in the legal area of Construtora OAS SA and OAS Empreendimentos S.A. (2007 – 2013)
Walfrido Jorge Warde Júnior
Mr. Warde is the founding partner of Warde Advogados. He is well known for his experience in corporate disputes and capital markets. He has a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of São Paulo and in Philosophy as well from the Faculty of Philosophy. He also lectures in Human Sciences at USP.
Mr. Warde has an LLM from the New York School of Law and a Doctorate in Commercial Law from the Faculty of Law of USP.
He has a scholarship in research at the Max-Planck Institute in the years 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008.
Valdir Moyses Simão
Mr. Simão has extensive knowledge of anti-corruption legislation in Brazil. He has familiarity with superior internal investigations, compliance, administrative sanctions processes, leniency deals, corporate ethics and relationships between government and companies.
He is a former Federal Minister of Planning and Budget (2015-2016), a former Chief Federal Comptroller Officer (CGU) (2015), and a former President of the Federal Social Security Entity (2005-2007 and 2008-2010). As Chief Federal Comptroller Officer, he played a key role in the implementation of Law No. 12,846/13 (Brazilian Anti-Corruption Law), the country’s key legislation in terms of compliance.
Mr. Simão is a Member of the Higher Council of Advanced Studies of FIESP, he is also a Member of the Superior Council of the Competitive Brazilian Movement (MBC), and of the Superior Council of the Brazilian Association of the Institutional and Governmental Relationships (ABRIG). He is a consultant at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in relation to corporate ethics and anti-corruption.
Alfredo Sérgio Lazzareschi Neto
Mr. Lazzareschi is a lawyer in company law, civil process, arbitration, contractual law, Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and company matters. He is also an arbitrator, dealing in company matters and investment funds and wrote a book called “Lei das Sociedades Por Ações Anotada”.
He is a member of the Fiscal Council of Porto Seguro S.A and of the auditing committee of Alpargatas.
Mr. Lazzareschi is a consultant of CONJUR Superior Council for Legal and Legislative Affairs of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP).
