Chambers Europe Guide Launch

During this session, Marlene Hermann, Editor of Chambers Europe will be joined by Magdalena Parkitna, Frida Sjostedt, Janine Heim, Michael Foulkes and Thomas Green to discuss key findings from our research this year, current trends in the market, and the exciting key developments in coverage across Europe.

They will also be discussing the research process and plans for research next year, including key deadlines, key changes for the upcoming year and reminders about referee and submissions process.

Marlene Hermann, Editor - Chambers and Partners
Marlene started at Chambers as a researcher on the Europe team before being promoted to Senior Researcher and then Editor. Prior to joining Chambers, she worked in recruitment focusing on the social housing sector. She holds a BA in English and History and an MA in Politics and Contemporary History from the University of Nottingham. She is a native German speaker.
Magdalena Parkitna, Deputy Editor - Chambers and Partners
Upon joining Chambers, Magdalena conducted research on Africa, the Middle East and Offshore jurisdictions. After going through various roles in the company, she became the Deputy Editor on the Europe guide. Prior to joining Chambers, she was a freelance journalist, and has also lived and worked in New York. She graduated in Journalism from the City University London, before studying MA in Investigative Journalism at same university. Magdalena speaks fluent Polish.
Frida Sjostedt, Deputy Editor - Chambers and Partners
Frida started as a researcher for the Europe Guide in 2014 and has been the Deputy Editor responsible for Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Liechtenstein since 2016. Prior to joining Chambers, she worked in hotel management. She graduated from the University of Brighton in International Hospitality Management, and later completed the GDL at BPP University in London. She speaks German and Swedish and has a higher education certificate in Mathematics.
Janine Heim, Deputy Editor - Chambers & Partners
Before joining Chambers, Janine studied Communication and Archaeology at the University of Queensland in Australia. After graduating, she worked for a start-up in Brisbane before going to the University of Bristol to pursue a Master’s in International Security. She further completed a PG Certificate in Antiquities Trafficking and Art Crime at the University of Glasgow and is fluent in both German and English.
Michael Foulkes, Deputy Editor - Chambers and Partners
Michael started at Chambers as a researcher on the Europe team before being promoted to Senior Researcher, Assistant Editor and then Deputy Editor. He has a PhD in 17thCentury French Theatre and speaks French and German.
Thomas Green, Deputy Editor - Chambers and Partners
Thomas has been a part of the Chambers Europe team for many years, starting as a researcher and working his way up to Deputy Editor. Prior to working at Chambers, he was involved in the real estate and asset management sector. He graduated in English Language and Literature from the University of Leeds, before going on to complete an MA in Romantic Literature and Culture.
