As a result of corporate team rebuilding and renewed focus in early 2017, Yulchon's Corporate & Finance Group (C&F Group) which encompasses M&A, Capital Markets, and Banking & Finance practice achieved an impressive achievement last year. It became more structured, and its newly-created FRA Team (Finance & Real Estate Advisory Team) has more resources and clear goals to undertake more finance and capital markets work.

One of our most representative deals is an international award-winning, landmark deal – Kyobo Life Insurance’s subordinated capital securities offering. It was the first offering by a Korean insurance firm in overseas markets, and this deal was recognized as the “Deal of the Year: Debt & Equity Linked” by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR) in the IFLR Asia Awards 2018 for its complexity and size.


Furthermore, our mandates are well-balanced both in terms of deal types and clients. Our work includes debt market deals (bond issuance), equity market deals (block trades, IPOs), and securitization (overseas ABS). And key clients are BMW Group, Shinhan Bank, Kia Motors, POSCO and KB Kookmin Card among many.
