Our Reputation
The Belgrade office is recognized for its long‑standing and sustained expertise in competition law. Since the establishment of the Serbian Competition Commission, we have advised on high‑impact merger control, dominance assessments, restrictive agreements, and state‑aid matters across Serbian and EU frameworks. As one of the most experienced Competition & Antitrust teams in the region, we maintain strong institutional relationships with authorities in Serbia and Montenegro and regularly act as a trusted partner to leading international law firms and multinational clients requiring strategic and compliant competition law advice.
Our Cases
We advised Nippon Steel Corporation, a publicly traded company listed on the Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo Stock Exchanges, in relation to the practical aspects of granting the U.S. government a Golden Share, a special class of share that grants its holder unique powers to protect national interests in strategic industries. We also advised Erste Group Bank AG on its acquisition of strategic interests in Santander Bank Polska S.A., the third-largest bank in Poland, and Santander TFI. We continue to advise KKR and DTEK on a regular, on-going basis.
Our Role
We support clients by providing strategic assessments, preparing merger notifications, evaluating market conduct, and advising on state‑aid and compliance issues, ensuring their operations are structured and effected in line with evolving regulatory standards.
