Our Reputation
Ever since the inception of the Serbian Competition Commission, we have advised on a multitude of transactions that required a high level of competition law expertise, including merger filings, leniency programs, analyses of restrictive agreements, definitions of relevant market and dominance issues. We developed significant expertise in state-aid matters both on local and EU level. Our team worked closely with authorities in Serbia and Montenegro ever since their set up, actively contributing to the development of their practices in line with EU law.
Our Cases
We represented Nippon Steel Corporation, a publicly traded company listed on the Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo Stock Exchanges, headquartered in Tokyo, in a USD 14.9 billion worth transaction that related to the acquisition of United States Steel Corporation. We also advised a US public company in fashion industry on the acquisition of a direct majority stake in a Serbian distributor and indirect stake in the Croatian distributor. Our work included complex advice on structuring the transaction from the perspective of local and EU competition regulations. We continue to advise KKR & Co. Inc and DTEK on a regular, on-going basis.
Our Role
Our clients benefit from the expertise of a Competition team which is one of the most experienced in Serbia, dedicated only to competition law and with a strong international background thus being the point of contact for major international law firms.
