Our M&A practice encompasses both taxable and non-taxable transfers of private and public companies, both large and small, including acquisitions, dispositions and recapitalizations of their businesses and those of their targets. Winthrop recently welcomed Joel Peters-Fransen and Rafi W. Mottahedeh as shareholders and co-chairs of Winthrop’s tax practice, a subset of our Corporate team. Together, they lead the strategic direction of the more than 20-lawyer practice, which serves clients in various tax specialties including M&A, capital markets, investment funds, specialty tax credits and incentives, and tax credit financing and syndication.
