Our oil & gas practice offers expert advice to clients engaged in a wide variety of activities, from oil exploration and production on the Norwegian continental shelf, to international disputes over the sale, purchase and transport of natural gas.

Actors on the Norwegian continental shelf turn to Wikborg Rein for advice throughout the project lifecycle. We counsel E&P and infrastructure companies and oil service providers on a host of matters, including transactions, regulatory advice, joint ventures, drilling and service contracts, infrastructure projects, transport and sale of hydrocarbons, and decommissioning. Wikborg Rein is also well-known for advice and dispute resolution in the international sale, purchase and transport of natural gas, notably for its representation of Ukrainian Naftogaz in its multi-billion dollar disputes with Gazprom. The oil & gas practice's competence is also sought after for energy transition projects, notably hydrogen as well as carbon transport and storage.
