The department is known for its experience-driven approach, using small teams with senior lawyers who remain in hands-on roles in every single matter. This approach makes our advices solution oriented and commercial. This is especially appreciated by clients within the small and midcap segment of the private equity market, often involved in buy-build/roll-ups by private equity funds. We are also frequently mandated by clients within the tech sector and generally by start-ups.

The department also consists of a team with specific focus on alternative investments and fund formation, with extensive knowledge about the private equity industry in general. On the institutional side this team regularly advises institutional investors such as insurance companies, AP-funds, banks and pension companies on their investment transactions and on the management side we are frequently mandated by investment banks, banks and management teams in connection with structuring, fund formation and fund raising. In addition we provide advice in relation to fund administration and regulatory issues relating to alternative investment funds.
