*V&E has a diverse worldwide project development and finance practice, with particular depth of experience in energy and construction projects. This includes experience in the development and financing of petrochemical plants, refineries, oil and natural gas fields, pipelines, LNG and LPG facilities, power plants, metals and mining projects, ports, railways, telecommunications, roads, water systems and other infrastructure and construction projects.
*Our London-based projects team has a distinguished international projects practice, with a particular focus on the emerging markets and in more difficult and challenging jurisdictions. V&E’s leading energy, projects and infrastructure practice has advised on a number of US$1 billion+ projects in recent years.
*For example, V&E has a strong relationship with the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and is currently advising the project company on the approx. US$ 4.5 billion SOCAR GPC Project in Azerbaijan. The sponsors intend to finance the GPC Project on a non-recourse basis with financing from Asian and European financiers. V&E also recently advise EuroChem, a Russian ammonia company, on the approx. US$ 1 billion development and financing of the Baltic Ammonia Project, involving financing from a number of European financial institutions under the cover of SACE.
