In the past five years, Venable has served as lead counsel for pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in federal multidistrict litigation (MDL) and state-wide coordinated proceedings in Arkansas, California, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Our clients also routinely call on us to defend them in jurisdictions such as Atlantic County, New Jersey; Madison and St. Clair Counties, Illinois; Montgomery County, Alabama; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Miami-Dade County, Florida. We have also represented our pharmaceutical and medical device clients in consumer class actions, most recently defeating class certification in federal courts in California and New York. We have also assisted our pharmaceutical clients in responding to congressional investigations and in defending against mass tort claims in the United Kingdom and Canada.
