The Antitrust and Competition practice group has extensive experience representing our clients before the Brazilian Antitrust Commission (CADE), including negotiating leniency agreements and cease agreements under the Brazilian Competition Law, as well as handling premerger notification filings and regulatory clearance for complex M&A transactions. The group also provides all stages of antitrust compliance counseling, including developing compliance programs tailored to client-specific needs, to improve risk management and reduce violations.

Recognized as among the cadre of elite antitrust lawyers in Brazil, the team is led by Marcelo Calliari, a former counsel of CADE. The Antitrust and Competition practice is one of the largest in Brazil and one of the firm’s most active, with experience handling hundreds of market concentration cases and major merger and business conduct investigations.
