TMI Associates regularly handles complex and sophisticated corporate and M&A transactions, advising clients on large-scale cross-border transactions, going-private transactions, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures, and responses to activist shareholders and the formulation of takeover defences.

The M&A team consists of attorneys with significant experience in the Firm’s Corporate, Finance and Competition/Antitrust practice teams and can call upon, as necessary, highly experienced bankruptcy and regulatory attorneys and professionals, including those with senior level work experience at the Financial Services Agency of Japan, the Japan Fair Trade Commission (including one of its former Secretary Generals), and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

TMI’s wide office network in China and Southeast Asia enables the Firm to support clients in their M&A transactions throughout Asia, and the Firm’s M&A clients are also increasingly benefitting from TMI’s North American and European offices and presence.
