The firm’s tax practice handles over 30 tax court cases a year dealing with all taxation matters. In addition to the daily corporate tax advice (income tax, VAT, and excise duties), we also deal with customs and transfer pricing. Our key strength lies in representing clients in tax disputes including criminal cases. In the past few years we are increasingly representing clients in applying for binding preliminary rulings from the Tax and Customs Board. We have also participated as experts in tax legislation.

Partner and tax expert of TEGOS (Estonia), Helmut Pikmets, is recognized in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame. He has extensive practical experience in day-to-day tax advisory as well as advising corporate acquisitions, restructurings and reorganizations as well as property and investment transactions. He has been involved in numerous high-profile tax disputes, many of which have led to landmark decisions in the Supreme Court of Estonia.
