About

Provided by Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP

SGR’s Atlanta Litigation Department conducts a sophisticated legal practice, handling everything from straightforward contract disputes to defense of product liability claims, complex antitrust cases, securities class actions, internal/corporate investigations, public company tender offer cases, and matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the False Claims Act.

Our Litigation Department is an intentional combination of a sophisticated commercial litigation practice coupled with billing rates and a staffing approach more comparable to smaller law firms.

Our Atlanta Litigation Department is also distinguished by its robust international practice. With a significant number of foreign-born attorneys on staff, SGR represents a large number of European (primarily German) and Asian manufacturers in the automotive, chemical and other sectors in litigation arising from supplier, distributor, customer and competitor relationships in the United States.

Our Atlanta team of more than 30 commercial litigators routinely represents clients adverse to the largest law firms in the country, as demonstrated in the following write-ups of specific matters we are handling. However, we adopt a “lean and mean” approach to litigation staffing to ensure that our clients receive the highest-quality representation but at a fraction of the cost that larger firms, employing multiple tiers of partners and associates, often charge.
