Our team assists major domestic shipping companies, as well as domestic and foreign financial institutions, with financing, M&A and other types of transactions.

We are experienced in financings for building and purchasing ships, tax-advantaged lease transactions and financings for the purchase and sale of used ships, developing the optimal deal structure and strategy to meet our clients’ needs.

In addition, we review contracts, plans and other documents, negotiate important points on behalf of clients, and obtain approvals from, and report to, the government in close consultation with the government or the competent regulatory authorities.

We also perform legal due diligence for M&A deals involving shipping companies and advise on financings using ship equipment such as containers.

We also advise on disputes arising from advance payments under ship building agreements and refund guarantees.
