Shin & Kim regularly counsels private and public bodies on large-scale power and infrastructure projects both at home and abroad. The team is also noted for its joint venture and regulatory expertise, and is identified by sources as increasingly active in the renewables field and the waste processing and treatment area. Work highlights

Shin & Kim advised Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power on licences, permits and customs procedures linked to its bid to supply tritium removal facilities for the nuclear power plant Cernavoda, Romania.

Notable practitioners

Helen Pak regularly advises on international deals on behalf of Korean sponsors, lenders and investors' consortia in both conventional and renewable power markets. A market source notes that she does a lot of cross-border work and "has built up a huge reputation."
