S+S is known for its experience as an active member in the development of energy projects, including, among others, power generation, natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas, and, in one of the most innovating sectors of the market, renewable energy and bioenergy projects. 

We advise and represent many national and international clients in the development of such projects under the applicable legislation, either pre or post-energy reform, and accomplish a smooth and swift transition into the new regulatory framework. 

In this sense, our firm has extensive experience in the preparation of documentation required in order to apply for and obtain the corresponding authorizations, licenses and permits required under applicable law, as well as in the legal implementation of financial structures for the construction, operation and launching of power plants, including the preparation and negotiation of contracts such as power purchase agreements  (which may include the purchase and sale of clean energy certificates, financial transmission rights, associated products, as applicable), construction contracts, BOT, EPC, BLT, and Turn-key Agreements, Project Finance and various guarantee packages, among others. Furthermore, due to the number of projects in which our firm continuously participates, we have developed close relationships with entities such as the Ministry of Energy, the Federal Electricity Commission, the National Center of Energy Control and the Energy Regulatory Commission.
