About

Provided by RPC

Our specialist dedicated tax dispute resolution team comprises lawyers with a unique blend of regulatory and commercial experience. Our team includes former senior members of HMRC's Solicitor’s Office who understand how HMRC operates and which strategies it may deploy. We provide a comprehensive service covering pre-emptive advice on a whole range of risk issues, including reputational considerations, tax enquiries, criminal investigations and tax litigation at the Tribunals and Higher Courts. We act on behalf of a broad selection of clients, ranging from FTSE 100 companies and multinational corporations through to privately owned businesses and high net worth individuals.

We provide a legal service that is focused on and tailored to our clients’ individual needs. Where a dispute with HMRC has arisen, we work closely with our clients and, where appropriate, their other professional advisers to ensure that the dispute is resolved in a manner which satisfies their business objectives. We seek to achieve a favourable settlement with HMRC wherever possible before allowing a dispute to progress to the Tribunals or Higher Courts and where a dispute has arisen, we steer our clients through what can be a complex and difficult process. The team also includes experienced CEDR accredited mediators for those disputes where mediation is appropriate.
