Roschier’s Dispute Resolution practice is one of the largest in the Nordic region. A unique feature of Roschier’s Dispute Resolution practice is its cross-border nature. The Helsinki and Stockholm offices, with a total of some 50 dispute resolution practitioners, allow Roschier to take on larger and more complex disputes than most other firms in the region.
The practice focuses on the major commercial disputes in the region, with particular emphasis on international arbitration and complex commercial court disputes. In addition, risk management and strategic advice make up an important part of the practice. Lawyers of the practice group regularly serve as arbitrators.
A practice area that has grown considerably over the last 5-10 years is competition damages actions, both in court and in arbitration. Roschier has been instructed in multiple competition damages matters that are currently in an active phase, with claims rising to hundreds of millions of euros.
Project- and construction-related disputes, especially in the energy sector, have traditionally been a focus area, and we are again seeing growth in this practice area along with the economic upswing and increased activity in large-scale industrial projects.
Roschier Dispute Resolution practice regularly handles corporate and M&A related disputes.
Over the last few years, Roschier's practice has also experienced an increase in white-collar crime and compliance-related assignments.
