The firm’s competition department comprises 7 lawyers specialising in competition law, which makes it one of the few teams with the resources to handle the most complex mandates. The department has an undisputed track record of successfully steering clients through the largest M&A transactions, closely watched investigations and complex antitrust litigation in Slovenia.

The firm is known for breaking new grounds in the Slovenian competition law. The department is one of the few in Slovenia with experience of representing clients before the European Commission as well as before the European Court of Justice with respect to alleged infringement of Article 101 TFEU. The department is further known for advising on the very first successful leniency procedure in Slovenia.

Members of the competition team bring on board years of experience in all areas of competition law. The team has regularly advised clients before the Slovenian Competition Protection Agency with regard to alleged cartel agreements, dawn raids and possible leniency applications. The firm has also advised clients on the organisation and contractual framework for their distribution and franchising networks and on other sensitive agreements.

Team members often provide in-house training for clients and are regularly engaged as lecturers at international and national competition law events.
