Rodrigo, Elias & Medrano Abogados has had a significant presence in the Peruvian project finance market for over four decades, throughout which we have represented scores of international and local players.  We have a wealth of experience representing all sides of a deal, whether commercial lenders, multilaterals lenders, export-credit agencies, debtors, underwriters, issuers, sponsors, guarantors, agents, financial advisors or others.

Our lawyers typically participate in project finances since their earlier stages, from the due diligence and bankability analysis to the drafting of the relevant financing documentation, the design of the security package and its applicability to cover different groups of lenders, and the satisfaction of the disbursement conditions.  We are regularly entrusted with complex project financings in Peru.

Our Project Finance practice group is currently the largest in the Peruvian market in terms of number of lawyers. This allows us to advice in several large transactions simultaneously without reducing the work place which project financings typically require. Also, we are one of the very few Peruvian law firms with truly specialized practice groups in order to provide a comprehensive legal advice in project financing transactions, irrespective of industry.  These two strengths, together with our solid tax practice, have proven invaluable to project finance clients.
