About

Provided by Plesner

Plesner's EU and competition law team is a market leader, especially in relation to complex cases involving significant values.

In addition to highly specialised lawyers, the team includes a number of economists. We work with a conscious focus on genuine teamwork and integration of economic arguments while constantly challenging conceptions, methods and analyses.

We have been involved in most of the important cartel cases in Denmark and the majority of EU cartel cases involving Danish companies and are the only Danish team to have experience with both the EC's leniency and cartel settlement procedures. The team has been involved in a number of the most important abuse cases, including the largest ever Danish abuse case. We also have experience with criminal proceedings and have successfully defended clients in court against criminal charges.

The team has experience with all aspects of Danish and EU merger control, including cases involving remedies in the form of divestitures, and has been involved in some of the most complicated merger control cases, including the largest ever merger involving Danish companies and one of the largest ever private placements in Europe.

We have handled a number of significant competition law related damages actions, including the largest ever Danish damages actions related to cartels and abuse of dominance, respectively.

The team also has experience with state aid, public procurement, FDI, FSR and other areas within competition law.
