Media: We specialise in media and entertainment. We assist our clients in commercialising and protecting their content across platforms. Our film and television practice is recognised as the largest and most active in the Irish market. We have been engaged in connection with almost every feature film, major television drama and animation series produced in Ireland in recent years. From the moment a project begins we advise on securing or acquiring the rights to the project; the contractual arrangements to finance and produce the project; and the distribution of the project around the world. Our team is experienced in advising clients on structuring the financing for projects and we have particular expertise on advising on Ireland’s tax incentive for film, television and online-distributed projects, Section 481.
Technology: We have been providing technology-related advice to clients since we began in 1993. Our work ranges from advising public and private sector clients on their ICT projects and needs and on their interactions with technology companies, to advising technology companies themselves on all aspects of their businesses.
Our tech savvy team members combine qualifications in law and IT engineering, in addition to members who worked for 12+ years in ICT before qualifying as solicitors, thus uniquely providing us with the ability to grasp the technical detail as well as legal aspects of any project.
