Pérez-Llorca’s Energy team advises public and private entities on matters with a Spanish or international component. Our advice includes:

  • Administrative proceedings and legal defence: advice on administrative and contentious-administrative proceedings related to the most significant amendments to regulation in the sector. If necessary, we also provide defence counsel for these types of proceedings.
  • Advice on contract negotiation and other obligations: advice to natural gas suppliers on supply contracts and obligations to submit information to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the Spanish Corporation of Strategic Reserves of Oil-based Products (CORES) and the Spanish National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC). We also provide advice on processing authorisations and communications with the relevant bodies.
  • Project Finance: advice on renewable energy project finance (photovoltaic, thermosolar, biomass and wind plants), natural gas and electricity, due diligence for investment funds and private equity companies, contract negotiation, O&M contracts, EPC contracts (turnkey projects), etc.
