About

Provided by Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs LLP

Clients have described the firm’s Bankruptcy practice as “highly experienced, responsive and easy to work with.” The firm built its bankruptcy practice based on the representation of major financial institutions in complex business financing transactions, including secured asset-based loans--the life blood of most businesses. Most recently, we have advised our lending clients on many aspects of the Covid-19 pandemic, including the CARES Act, PPP lending program, and related issues. While representation of financial institutions has, and continues to be, a mainstay of the Bankruptcy practice group’s work, the group also represents non-financial institution clients, such as financially distressed companies, trustees, examiners, former management of distressed companies, and large case creditors. The attorneys are highly knowledgeable in both the legal and practical application of secured transactions, bankruptcy, lender liability, asset disposition, and related insolvency laws; and have significant first-hand experience in areas of fraudulent transactions, breaches of fiduciary duty, breaches of professional duties of care (including breach of auditing duties) and asset recoveries. Our team members combine documentation and litigation experience, allowing team members to function effectively in a broad range of situations without the need for excessive staffing.  We regularly appear in courts outside of Georgia, including New York, Delaware, and elsewhere in the Southeast.
