Parker Hudson’s Commercial Finance team helps financial institutions provide the sophisticated financing options borrowers need to achieve their objectives, while balancing the parties’ business goals with a legal structure acceptable to the client. The practice group routinely handles the negotiation, structuring and documentation of commercial loan transactions that typically range in size from $10 million to in excess of $1 billion, are often multi-lender syndicated credit facilities and are usually secured by some or all of the assets of the borrowers and affiliates. The team has extensive experience with many types of transactions, including asset-based lending, syndicated lending (agent and lender representation), cross-border lending, cash flow lending, healthcare finance, lender finance, acquisition finance, debtor-in-possession financing and transportation financing.
The team not only has the ability to negotiate single-lender deals to syndicated, multibillion dollar facilities, but also is able to analyze the market with its depth of commercial lending knowledge, decades of experience and an extensive, multi-faceted client base. The practice group also has expertise in structures involving multiple layers of institutional debt, complex intercreditor arrangements and payments in multiple currencies and has strength in complementary disciplines including bankruptcy, tax, healthcare, real estate and corporate.
