The Firm has represented clients in transactions involving various regulators, including the power, telecommunication, banking, insurance, and pharmaceutical sectors. The Firm acts for a broad range of clients including multinational corporations (operating within and outside Pakistan), foreign and local banks, multilateral agencies, financial institutions, leading Pakistani industrial and business houses as well as public sector corporations and government-controlled agencies, and is also instructed by and acts for various leading international law firms on a regular basis. The Firm continues to be involved in major domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and regularly advises clients on anti-trust applications with the Competition Commission of Pakistan, including in relation to the Reconstituted Reko Diq Project, Uber’s acquisition of Careem’s Pakistan assets, and BE Energy Limited’s trademark license agreement with Chevron Brands International LLC to facilitate the entry of the ‘Caltex’ brand back in Pakistan.
