Overview

Ogier's BVI Dispute Resolution team is led by partner Brian Lacy.

The team retains its position as one of the largest dispute resolution teams in the BVI. The team has been strategically formed to incorporate the right combination of commercial litigation solicitors and barristers from top London firms and chambers. The team offers the full range of legal services in a style and to a standard familiar and expected by those instructing us from top-tier onshore firms. 

We offer legal advice relating to:

  • Commercial disputes and fraud matters: Fraud, asset tracing, protection and recovery; enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, shareholder disputes, jurisdiction challenges and injunctive relief.
  • Restructuring and corporate recovery: winding up cross border insolvency applications, restructuring applications, protection of investors/shareholders rights, schemes of arrangement, amalgamation and reconstruction and asset recovery.
  • Contentious regulatory advice: regulatory investigations and enforcement, proceeds of crime and money laundering claims.
