New Park Court Chambers is a well-regarded set on the North Eastern Circuit, noted for its expertise spanning the full range of serious criminal work. The set houses a strong bench of senior and junior barristers who are regularly instructed in high-profile homicides and sexual assault cases, and have considerable experience of acting for both the prosecution and defence. Alistair MacDonald QC
Alistair MacDonald QC is an experienced criminal barrister who is well known for his time as chair of the Bar Council. Prosecuted a former priest at Ampleforth Abbey Catholic boarding school in relation to sexual abuse allegations made against him by former pupils at the school and two other young boys who had encountered him in his role as a parish priest in Workington.
