Our Aviation Practice Group handles a wide range of matters in the aviation sector, including financing, leasing, regulatory matters, insurance, M&A, insolvency and workouts. NHG is one of the few firms in Mexico with extensive experience in this sector, and our group is renowned for its creative approach to structuring financing transactions, as well as for its niche expertise in insurance in the aviation sector.

The group receives strong support from other top tier overlapping practice areas such as Banking and Finance, Insurance, M&A, Tax and Workouts and Insolvency.

We have been involved in both commercial and corporate aircraft finance transactions and related regulatory matters, including PDP, JOLCO financings and sale and lease back transactions, helping our clients with registrations and dealings with local authorities, tailoring their  transactions for Mexico, and perfecting their security interests with Mexican and international registries and aviation authorities. We have also represented airlines and their creditors in the restructuring of financial obligations, including local and cross-border insolvency proceedings. We have also recently participated in key M&A transactions in the airport and aerospace sectors.
