Morrison & Foerster’s project finance attorneys assist clients in all aspects of the development, construction, financing, restructuring, and purchase and sale of infrastructure projects around the world. We also provide political risk insurance counseling where our expertise lies in policy drafting and analysis of loan documents and transactional documents for insured projects. We work on a broad range of infrastructure projects, including – for example – gas-fired power projects in Mexico, Turkey, and the Philippines; solar projects in California; nuclear projects in Texas; coal-fired projects in Indonesia; airports in the Bahamas; hotels in Afghanistan; LNG projects in Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Mexico; high speed rail in Taiwan; and mining projects in the Andes. We have developed particular expertise in conventional energy and renewable energy.

We represent a range of clients, including export credit agencies, project sponsors, commercial lenders, multilateral agencies, offtakers, contractors, and suppliers. We also advise developers and financial investors in connection with the sale and acquisition of infrastructure assets.
