Our TMT team advises domestic and international clients across the full spectrum of the digital economy, including AI, big data and IoT, cloud and outsourcing, fintech and digital assets/Web3, online platforms and e-commerce, autonomous vehicles, MaaS and drones, and media and broadcasting. Many of our lawyers have served on government councils and worked within the relevant authorities in Japan, so we are well-versed in laws affecting the TMT sector, including intellectual property law; Japan’s Telecommunications Business Act, Radio Act and Broadcasting Act; and data protection, cybersecurity and sector-specific regulations for areas such as automotive and mobility.
