Mintz Levin’s Insurance and Reinsurance Practice advises property and casualty admitted, surplus and specialty lines insurers in a variety of areas, including coverage, reinsurance, corporate insurance and financial risks. With more than three decades of experience representing insurers in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts throughout the United States, we have earned a national reputation for our ability to manage complex and sophisticated coverage cases and for our skill in addressing emerging coverage and liability issues. We have briefed, argued, and tried virtually every significant coverage issue (i.e., trigger of coverage, allocation, duty to defend, occurrence, related claims, follow the fortunes). Our practices spans all lines of property and casualty insurance ranging from general liability insurance to directors and officers insurance and transactional/contingent liability insurance. Given our deep breadth of experience, we also work closely with our insurer clients on developing and drafting new insurance products and policies to address emerging risks.
