State and local tax – McDermott has one of the largest state and local tax departments in the US and is one of only a small handful of firms in California with dedicated state and local tax capability.

International tax – Our lawyers advise on the US tax aspects of cross-border deals, as well as high-profile tax planning and advisory work. We advise numerous multinational companies in more than 70 countries.

M&A/Transactions – McDermott’s California tax team has a strong transactional tax and advisory practice covering some of the largest M&A deals, private equity buyouts, spin-offs, corporate restructurings, and IPOs.

Blue-chip clientele – We provide high-end tax services to Fortune 100 companies, many private mid-size and smaller companies, and a large percentage of listed companies in other countries.
