McDermott Will & Emery’s intellectual property practice continues to be one of the strongest and most active, not just at the state level, but also nationally and globally. Our international team includes more than 80 lawyers and professionals, nearly half of whom are registered patent lawyers and agents, who offer a unique mix of business savvy and technical skill to achieve success for clients. McDermott’s patent litigation team is known for managing and conducting complex IP litigation worldwide and has earned major victories in dozens of federal district and appellate courts. In the last five years, our team has handled more than 200 patent cases in US district courts and conducted more than 80 proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Our team has specific expertise in high-profile patent districts, including the Eastern District of Texas, District of Delaware, Northern District of California and District of New Jersey, among others, and we have a longstanding record of achieving favorable outcomes in these courts on behalf of our clients.
