About
Provided by Kennedys
Kennedys’ transport and logistics team recognise that forwarders are asked to provide an increasing number of roles within the supply chain industry and we work closely with our clients to understand their challenges and assist in managing their risks, including production, warehousing and freight distribution. We cover all aspects of the carriage of goods by road, sea, rail and air, both domestic and global and act for transport and logistics organisations and cargo owners and insurers across the world.
Lead by Chris Chatfield, we advise on risk transfer issues and the implications of the international conventions. We handle subrogated recoveries for cargo insurers and we advise operators and their liability insurers on risk management issues and injury as well as non-injury claims. For the supply chain industry, we advise on issues arising from containerised and multimodal transportation and have considerable experience in project cargo.
Kennedys have particular expertise in areas of the supply chain that are vulnerable to theft, temperature abuse and access by clandestine entrants. We advise the supply chain industry and their insurers on fear of loss claims. We regularly advise the warehousing industry and their insurers dealing with floods, fires and other catastrophes. We can assist in claims and risk management for issues including cross docking, wrongful release, temperature-controlled products and stock loss.
