About

Provided by Kennedy Van der Laan

The Health Care Team has many years of experience with clients in the health care sector. Therefore they know the sector well and have a perspective from within of the challenges and developments.

Matters the team has addressed in the past years are, for example: advice on the electronic patient record, mergers and joint ventures, developing e-health modules, medical liability and medical disciplinary law. We advise and litigate in employment-law disputes within healthcare institutions, where employees often have a special employment-law position. We offer guidance if clients are confronted with intensive supervision by the Dutch Healthcare Inspectorate or the NZa (Dutch Healthcare Authority). And we also know the rules of play pertaining to psychiatric hospitalizations, doctor-patient confidentiality, and the ethical issues surrounding the beginning and end of life.

We service various mental health care institutions, hospitals, nursing homes and home care, health care institutions and suppliers to health care.
