Real Estate is a core practice at Katten, whose more than 120 attorneys across the firm’s 14 offices worldwide have significant experience orchestrating complex transactions on behalf of lenders, developers, operators, owners and investors of all classes. With our diversity and depth in both the equity and debt finance areas, we are looked to by our clients to bring real-time market data to each side of the equation as to what the current trends are in the real estate industry and what is considered “market” in sophisticated real estate transactions and negotiations.

Katten’s Washington, DC Real Estate practice is comprised of real estate and public finance attorneys, and regularly handles highly complex transactions for local and national clients, including acquisitions, dispositions, public and private financings, affordable housing, workouts, and equity and debt arrangements across the full spectrum of asset types, such as portfolio, resort and hotel, office, mixed-use, multifamily, and industrial assets. In addition, many of our attorneys have particular experience in the negotiation, structuring and documentation of private equity investments and joint ventures. We offer to our client base and our transactions the depth of a national real estate practice and the ability to draw on the skills of our partners within and outside of our Washington, DC office in the areas of tax, bankruptcy, environmental, litigation and other areas that enhance our client representation.
