The Banking and Finance team's experience and ability to get a transaction done is widely recognised in the market. The team have been instructed by most international DFIs and major banking institution in the country and have handled a number of: local and international bank syndications; been involved in the development of the listed bond market in Kenya; commercial paper programmes; and other medium term note issues.

Of the several notable matters they advised on includes the multibillion USD sovereign bond listed on the London Stock Exchange. The team is also active in the aircraft leasing and finance space representing significant market players like Kenya Airways and Air Kenya.

The team is led by partner Ruth Kirunga who is recognised as a ‘highly regarded’ lawyer by IFLR 1000 in this practice area.
