The IP practice is known for covering both administrative procedures in industrial property matters before the Bulgarian Patent Office, EUIPO and WIPO, as well as court representation in contentious matters in all areas of IP, copyright included. The team represents local and multinational companies in the registration of industrial property, renewals, oppositions, cancellations, non-use, well-known marks, etc. and provides legal advice related to licensing, trade secrets, protection of know-how and franchise agreements. Furthermore, the team regularly audits intellectual property assets in the context of legal due diligence required for sale, acquisition and securitization purposes. The firm is very well-positioned in the media and show business, advising the entire spectrum of stakeholders in the entertainment industry.

The practice is active in a wide range of industry and assists sector-leading companies with their entire trademark portfolios and other IP matters. The TM practice is being increasingly approached by clients from the audiovisual industry to develop overall trademark and IP strategies evolving around the trademark portfolios of new projects. 

All team members have foreign academic background in addition to their Bulgarian law degree, which allows them to handle trans-border cases with knowledge and expertise in the application of private international law and conflict of laws rules.
