In the Mining sector, the Firm’s wealth of experience is demonstrated by market-leading transactions dating back from 2004 when the Firm advised AngloGold Limited on its merger with AngloGold Ashanti Limited to current day multi-million transactions involving Asante Gold Corporation, Kinross Gold and Atlantic Lithium Resources (formerly IronRidge Resources), including acquisitions, secondary listings and financings.
In the Energy and Petroleum sectors, the Firm has advised and continues to act as advisers to, amongst others, Tullow Ghana Limited, Heritage and Yinson in respect of various oil-producing fields and offshore installations in Ghana; and, in the downstream sector, to BP Oil International Limited.
The Firm also has a strong Power practice and has advised on a number of significant transactions including:-
- Advising a leading international company in respect of a 400MW Photovoltaic Power Plant.
- Providing advice in respect of a 120MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant, including advising on all regulatory requirements and all legal aspects of financing for the project.
- Advisory services to Halliburton, Brown and Root in respect of the Bui Hydroelectric Plant project.
