Our Yorkshire Banking & Finance Team has long-established expertise in advising both lenders and borrowers on corporate banking, real estate finance (investment and development) and cross border finance and mezzanine finance, leveraged finance, structured finance and private equity funding.

The “day to day” work of our team is the drafting and negotiating of facility and security documents, project managing transactions, portfolio management, facility amendments, product development and re-financings. 

Our Yorkshire offices are ‘full service’, and our banking and finance team has an established presence in the region. Given IM’s roots are in Yorkshire (our Sheffield office being founded in 1912) we have a genuine focus on the region and the diversity of the work undertaken highlights our strength in depth and the large cross section of the market we operate in; something that we consider to be unique within the Yorkshire market.  

Broader recognition of our expertise means that we continue to win work in London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Newcastle.

HSBC, Santander, Nortddeutssche Landesbank, ICG and ThinCats regularly instruct us on their London-based deals and many of our key relationships with people there are conducted from our Yorkshire offices.

We continue to win work consistently from existing clients such as HSBC, Santander, Lloyds Bank, NatWest, ICG, Norddeutsche Landesbank and ThinCats as well as other niche and challenger banks.
