Overview

The Financial Services practice team advises Swiss and international banks, investment firms, insurance companies, financial institutions, as well as domestic and foreign corporates, on Swiss regulatory regime, financings and capital market transactions.

Our core competency is the comprehensive knowledge of, and experience in, all aspects of Swiss financial market regulation. We obtain FINMA authorizations for banks, insurance companies, investment firms, collective investment schemes and other financial intermediar-ies.

We focus on complex domestic and cross-border regulatory issues and represent clients in capital markets transactions, including issuances of bonds and convertible bonds, regulato-ry capital instruments, as well as equity capital transactions. We also advise on syndicated loans, acquisition finance, asset finance including covered bonds and securitizations, and financial restructurings. We lead the way when it comes to developing and documenting in-vestment products, including complex structured products. We advise Swiss and interna-tional private equity, hedge fund and other fund managers on the structuring and distribution of funds.

The team organizes and conducts internal regulatory investigations and represents clients in Swiss and foreign proceedings before authorities and courts in relation to all aspects of Swiss regulation and financial market legislation.
