Who we are:

Our leading and well known team is dedicated to fighting on behalf of individuals to protect their fundamental rights. We work closely with non-profit organizations, charities and campaigning groups in cases seeking to protect rights. We have a proven track record in holding the state to account for human rights breaches and have a history of bringing innovative and creative challenges.

Our team has built up niche expertise in areas such as deaths and mistreatment in state detention including in police custody, prison and immigration detention. We bring cases to protect the interests of vulnerable groups from abuse and neglect such as those in psychiatric detention and care homes, and are currently challenging state agencies on failing to bring air pollution levels within lawful limits.

We have a breadth of expertise across our highly regarded civil liberties team and are fearless in pursuing justice on behalf of our clients.

Our areas of expertise:

  • Actions against the police

  • Death in custody inquests and claims against detaining authorities

  • Challenges under the Human Rights Act

  • Judicial Reviews

  • Claims for miscarriages of justice

  • Equality and discrimination claims

Our solicitors have an outstanding track record for bringing ground breaking legal challenges as well as gaining compensation, apologies and admissions of wrongdoings for our clients.
