Amongst our seven partner team in London, led by our Head of Tax William Arrenberg, we have partners focusing on tax issues in sectors including energy and infrastructure, real estate, funds and investment structuring and structured finance. We also have a highly regarded Band 1 tax disputes team, led by Nick Clayton, which forms part of the firm's market leading disputes offering. We have a deep knowledge not just of relevant tax issues, but of market practice and expectations, with our lawyers forming part of wider sector teams that are themselves consistently ranked in Band 1.
The firm Tax team frequently works with tax advisers and other advisers from our international offices to provide clients with seamless multi-jurisdictional tax advice. We have also developed a strong “international tax counsel” function, helping clients to obtain advice and manage risk, particularly in jurisdictions where local advice is more difficult to source. We believe that this sets us apart from our competitors.
Our team is particularly proud of our involvement in the multi award winning ongoing role acting for British Land on the Canada Water development in London.
