The energy practice in Spain combines corporate, finance, and contentious practices to provide a full range of services to clients in their projects in Spain and overseas. The team has extensive experience in providing legal advice to both domestic and international clients in connection with their acquisitions or divestments and throughout all stages of their energy projects. They possess in-depth knowledge of public law, regulatory, environment, and planning. The team advises on innovative areas, with a special focus on energy transition and climate change, ESG and decarbonisation, and are pioneers in their advice on green hydrogen and marine wind energy. Their international capacity and cross-border knowledge is second to none.

The team is comprised of M&A partners Guillermo Uriarte, Miguel Fraga and Leopoldo González-Echenique; public law/ESG/environment partner Iria Calviño; finance partners Armando García-Mendoza and Sergio Cires; and disputes partners Eduardo Soler Tappa and Alejandra Galdos.
