About
Provided by Haynes and Boone, LLP
In a time of increased antitrust scrutiny by authorities in the U.S. and abroad, our lawyers are highly experienced in defending clients both in enforcement proceedings and in private treble-damage litigation.
Our team has represented Fortune 500 companies and international corporations, along with their executives and directors, in major international cartel investigations in a variety of industries, including air cargo, freight forwarding, vitamins, food additives and flavor enhancements, chemicals, computer memory chip, pharmaceuticals, marine hose, LCD and CRT. We have represented clients against allegations such as price-fixing, bid-rigging, market allocation and collateral offenses involving fraud and corruption.
We are experienced in assessing corporate and individual leniency issues; negotiating with federal, state and international competition authorities; and designing and implementing a cartel litigation defense strategy. We also have substantial experience in conducting complex internal investigations of alleged wrongdoing, and we regularly assist clients in developing and implementing corporate regulatory compliance programs.
Our team draws on the experience of former high-ranking federal prosecutors, including a former chief of the Dallas Field Office of the U.S. Justice Department’s Antitrust Division. Our lawyers also have appeared on the faculty of the International Cartel Workshop, National White Collar Crime Conference and ABA Antitrust Section Spring Meeting.
