Our award-winning Renewable Energy team is one of the largest in Scotland, specialising in renewable energy projects and minerals. We provide advice on all types of renewable energy project, including onshore wind, hydro, marine and offshore wind, solar and renewable heat.
We advise developers, landowners, planning authorities and funders in projects big and small. From some of Europe’s largest onshore and offshore windfarms, to community projects of all types, we use our experience and knowledge of the industry to provide pragmatic commercial advice to all of our clients.
Headed by Partner Omar Ali, one of Scotland’s leading renewables solicitors, our team operates from offices across the country, allowing us to provide face-to-face advice no matter where projects are based.
Our lawyers have helped Scotland to meet Government targets on renewable energy, with members of our team advising in transactions involving the installation of more than 6GW of installed capacity, around 40% the total renewable electricity installed in Scotland to date.
