The firm's maritime department is often approached to advise and assist on a number of different shipping transactions which necessarily, but not invariably, require any of the following services:

1. Ship Registration, including the Purchase and Sale of Ships (Commercial and Pleasure Yachts)
2. Shipping Finance
3. Shipping Litigation; and 
4. Shipping Administration & Compliance including Tax.

The department assists clients with the full scope of services for the registration of vessels under the Maltese flag from construction to grounding (including advice on ship recycling procedures). The firm also advises on transfers of ownership and on purchase and sale contracts.

GTG also assists creditors or any interested party with the process of drafting and filing judicial claims in court against vessels located within Maltese territorial waters. The firm offers the full scope of court services, including judicial requests for warrants of arrest, followed by representation before the Superior Courts of Malta which could also lead to assistance relating to the vessel’s judicial sale by auction or court-approved private sale.

The firm also provides assistance with respect to all the administrative-related work, namely: the renewal of Certificates of Registry, Radio Licenses, Continuous Synopsis Reports, Insurance Policies (Blue Cards) and the Safety-Training-Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) of all crew members on board Maltese flagged vessels and more.
