Geldards has had a dedicated public and administrative law practice . The firm is well-know for its work for public sector clients generally and much of the firm’s work in this area is in support of the extensive public-sector team in England and Wales.

In England Geldards’ is a panel member of two of the largest local government legal services panels – EMLawshare (to which the firm was reappointed in 2018) and the North-West Local Authorities Legal Services Consortium.
In Wales, Geldards remains the pre-eminent firm in administrative and public law and is seen as the “go-to” firm by public sector bodies for high value and politically sensitive matters and known for its understanding of the Welsh devolved institutions.
