Gedik & Eraksoy’s Banking & Finance and capital markets team is led by Umut Gurgey and includes 11 dedicated fee-earners. The team works on a standalone basis on Turkish law matters, and exclusively in conjunction with Allen & Overy’s Istanbul team. Gedik & Eraksoy and Allen & Overy have worked in association since 2012. This integrated capability, which we call our ‘global-local’ strategy, is highly valued by our Turkish and international clients alike.

What the Team is Known For

Gedik & Eraksoy Avukatlık Ortaklığı has a well-established practice that regularly advises domestic and international financial institutions on bilateral and syndicated loan agreements. The team also assists with debt refinancings. It advises international and domestic financial institutions as arrangers, sponsors, issuers and underwriters on a range of equity and debt capital markets, from initial public offerings for domestic and international corporate clients to Eurobonds and GMTN programmes. The team is aided on multi-jurisdictional mandates by associated international firm Allen & Overy.
